Valentina Tanni (screenings section curator)

Valentina Tanni is a critic , teacher and curator. She is vice-director of Exibart and Exibart.onpaper, (exibart.com). She is interested mainly in the relation between new technological arts and phenomenons of contamination among languages. In 2000 she founded ExiWebArt, the first Italian survey dedicated to Net art, carried by the art portal Exibart.com (webart.exibart.com) and in 2001 Random (random-magazine.net), a daily news about new media art.

She took care of the section Net of the Media Connection exhibition (Rome and Milan, 2001), the exhibitions Netizens (Rom, 2002) and L'oading - Videogiochi Geneticamente Modificati (Syracuse, 2003). Since 2002 she has been teaching informatics applied to the Arts and Environment at Sapienza University in Rome (faculty of Humanistic Sciences) and cooperates as consultant with Monti&Taft, a society of design and cultural management . She lives in Rome.
