Kassian Troyer
Kassian Troyer was born in 1977. After having studied audio engineering and computer music at Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Wien, he has been working permanently as musician, sound engineer, sound artist. Now he lives in Berlin. He played and took part in projects in different important festival and locations: Krytptonale in Berlin (2002), Fuenfhaus/Museumsquartier in Wien (2003) with Peter Brandlmayr, Transart 2003 in Bolzano, Schloss Wildberg in Wien (2003). His works have been exhibited in different important European locations : "Artists in Motion" - groupexhibition in Warschau and Krakau (Polland), "Processos Oberts" with RoToR in Barcelona, "Frozen Muzak" in Linz (in cooperation with his brother Ulrich).He is also a composer and now he is working to a soloist project.
Ulrich Troyer
Ulrich Troyer was born in 1973. After having studied architecture and as guest student at l'Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Wien, now he lives in Wien and is a freelance artist, musician and architect. He took part in different projects, like "Frozen Muzak", a sound installation in cooperation with his brother Kassian; "Sehen mit Ohren", in Kunstradio Ö1(Austria); "Garden for Lovers", with Bauchplan and Marta Rego (honourable mention in the challenge Schloß Trautmannsdorf) in Merano; "Audiostundenplan" (awarded in the competition Marie Curie) in Merano. He has also received several awards and recognitions, among them in 2000 the Prix Ars Electronica. As a musician, he recorded on Mego and Delux Records and he played at important festivals and locations. Picknick am Wegesrand (2005, Wien), Sintesi Festival (2005, Naples), Empty Bottle (2004, Chicago), Moving Patterns (2004, New York), Batofar Cherche Vienne (2001, Paris).He is a member of the Vegetable Orchestra, ensemble that he uses for his performances with musical instruments made of vegetables exclusively.
Philipp Furtenbach
Philipp Furtenbach was born in February 1975 in Feldkirch/Austria. He is a chef.
